Hey everybody! Here are some photos for you guys to check out. Enjoy!

Hello everyone! Here are our selections for the photo of the month. The first one is our winner, the newlyweds!

Here our a couple of Bat Mitzvahs that we did

Here are some pre-wedding photos

We’ve been so busy around here that we haven’t had a chance to blog! So, with that said, we’re giving you a few extra photographs that we found eligible to be photos of the month (or in this case, two months). We hope you enjoy them!
The first two photos are the winners that we posted in the newsletter!

The following are photographs of high school seniors

This Bar Mitzvah was held at the New England Aquarium!

We also have Bat Mitzvah photos from a party in September.

So many photographs are wonderful and worthy of being displayed in our newsletter, but we can’t post EVERYTHING. So here are the other photos we were considering:

Since so many of the seniors we photographed included pets in their session, we thought we’d dedicate a section of our blog to show you!

We received this letter via email from the U.S. Commerce Association:
Press Release
“Pierre Chiha Photography Receives 2009 Best of Concord Award
Washington D.C., June 8, 2009– Pierre Chiha Photography has been selected for the 2009 Best of Concord Award in the Still Or Video Photographer category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).
The USCA “Best of Local Business” Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2009 USCA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.”
In Conjunction with my monthly newsletter, I’ve added a feature called “Picture of the Month.” From now on, I will be selecting pictures that stand out a little more than the others to share with you. One will be featured in the newsletter every month, and the rest will be posted here on my blog for you to see. If you are not subscribed to my newsletter and would like to be, simply click on the link to my website and join! Enjoy!

Hello! There’s so much going on this time of year, that lately I’ve barely found time to update you all on my blog! First of all, I’d like to begin my announcing the winner of the photo contest that we ran for the last couple of months. With the most votes at 17, the winner is Lauren Z. with that jellyfish photo titled “Life Down There.”

All the entries we received were wonderful and we thank everyone that participated in this contest.
On a different note, I’d like to share all the other things that we’ve been doing, with you. Last Saturday was very busy for us. Not only did we have a Bar Mitzvah, but we also had a wedding on the same day!
The Bar Mitzvah was fun! It was unique, compared to the traditional way that these events are done. This one was done in 2 parts. The first part was on Thursday at the MIT Museum, where the kids all gathered and learned how to program robots to operate the same way as the Roomba vacuum cleaner does! Then they had a pizza party and went out for ice cream. The second part was at the Garden in the Woods in Framingham, where there was MORE partying, but this time the family was there and involved. Shane is the name of the young man that celebrated his coming of age into adulthood. Here are a few pictures from the event.

The wedding that was held in Beverly at the Tupper Manor, was photographed by my associates photographers, Jill and A.J. It was a beautiful wedding and they were very lucky to have the break in the weather! The happy couple’s names are Rachel and Kevin.

I’m trying to stay positive, since many of the senior portraits that have been scheduled for the last two weeks have had to be postponed due to the rain. So with that in mind, all the rain we’ve been getting will make everything lush and green, which will make wonderful backgrounds for the rest of the senior portraits this summer. The weather really isn’t too bad though, because I prefer cloudy days for portrait sessions anyway.
Lastly, my retouching class that I taught for the last couple of months has come to an end. I’m planning on holding a digital camera class in the fall, so keep your eyes out if you’re interested. I will send out an email newsletter announcing the specifics later this summer, so if you are not already on our mailing list then sign up. You can do that by going to my website at www.pierre.com and clicking on the button to subscribe to our newsletter. Thanks!
Hello everyone! We are thrilled with the number of entries we have received in the last couple of weeks! Today we have 3 pictures entered into the contest.
The first photo was submitted by Stella C. and she titled it “Hong Kong Monkey.”

The next entry came from Emily W. She sent in 2 photographs of animals she saw while on a safari in Botswana. The pictures were taken with a Nikon D300 with an 80-200 zoom.

Please vote for your favorite pictures by clicking on comment or scrolling down to the comment box (depending on your browser) and note either the title of the picture, or describe which one gets your vote.
We’ve received two more entries into our contest! The first one is from Lauren Z. She took this picture at the New England Aquarium. She used a Pentax K100D and pressed the lens against the tank while using her flash to fill the darkness inside the tank. The photo is of jellyfish.

This picture is from Elaine S. and she titled it “Tulip.”

If you’d like to vote for either of these photos then leave a comment below or click on the comment tab and note which picture you are voting for.
